Perfecting the Pay for Performance Model

Employee compensation can be a tricky concept, both for employees and employers. With 9 out of 10 companies following some sort of employee compensation policy but only 42 percent of employees understanding their employer’s philosophy, there is certainly room for improvement. Businesses can save time and bridge the gap between siloed business units by aligning performance reviews across the company and informing employees on performance expectations and aligned compensation opportunities.

This session will focus on how businesses can determine a meaningful talent management and incentive program that will boost performance as well as gauge talent across the company, all while developing an expansive view of overall company performance, individually and collectively. By examining one company’s successful transition to this approach, attendees will learn how to bridge gaps between business units and align talent management strategy across the company.

This session will also outline the trials and errors of the journey toward perfecting a holistic, sound employee compensation model, outlining the positive outcomes that have resulted from this effort, as well as the reasons some pay for performance models may fail.

What You Will Learn

  1. How to develop a framework for an efficient, holistic approach to the performance review process.
  2. How to improve overall employee engagement while garnering a better understanding of performance.
  3. The benefits of aligning review dates with annual fiscal results in a way that is fluid.
