[Webinar] Employer Readiness and the ACA: It’s a Marathon, Not a Sprint

2014-03-25 15:00:00

January 1, 2014 brought with it an important employer milestone in the course of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) roll out since several key ACA reforms took effect on that date. The rubber has met the road. While a tremendous amount of information is available from trade associations, insurance companies and internet searches, a surprising 44% of the public continue to say they don’t have enough information to understand how the law will impact their families. Your role, and the action you take as an employer or HR/Benefits leader, is paramount to helping your employees make that very connection. How will this extremely complex law affect your people—and your bottom line?

Preparing for this race requires an understanding of the implications of the ACA for your organization – and identifying where you have an opportunity to turn this regulatory challenge into a strategic opportunity to bend the cost curve of benefits, achieve ‘employer of choice’ status, and grow your business at the same time. The data tracking and reporting requirements alone can be daunting, and when you add affordability, minimum value and minimum essential coverage requirements to the healthcare benefits equation, compliance costs and potential penalties can take a heavy toll.

We’ve learned that 90% of organizations studied in a recent International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans survey claim they have moved beyond a “wait and see” approach– and more than half of organizations are beginning to develop tactics to deal with the implications of reform. Are you one of them?

Developing, implementing and managing an effective ACA strategy for your organization is the goal for this marathon–and here are some topics we’ll discuss during this webcast to help you train for your race:

• Address ACA requirements for employer-sponsored group health plans under just-released regulations
• Describe pending court challenges to the ACA
• Review strategies to avoid penalties
• Identify the impact of new fees and taxes
• Avoid triggering the 2018 excise tax on high cost health coverage

Let us help you attain your personal and organizational BEST.
