The California Competes Tax Credit is a competitively-awarded tax credit which is negotiated between GO-Biz and the awardee.  Each credit award is approved by the California Competes Tax Credit Committee, which consists of the State Treasurer, the Director of the Department of Finance, the Director of GO-Biz (or its delegate), an appointee by the Speaker of the Assembly, and an appointee by the Senate Committee on Rules.
